Cookie Policy

Information about cookies and how we use them on our website

8 min read

This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage, tracking pixels) we use on elevenspectacles.com, what they do, and how you control them. It complements our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data in general.

Your choices at a glance

When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept all or open Settings, where you can decline all or choose per category. Until you choose, only strictly necessary cookies are used.

CategoryWhat it coversDefault
NecessaryRunning the shop, checkout, security, your cookie choiceAlways on
AnalyticsPostHog (full mode) and Google Analytics 4Off
Google AdsGoogle Ads conversion measurement and remarketingOff
MetaMeta Pixel and Meta Conversions APIOff
PinterestPinterest Tag and Pinterest Conversions APIOff

You can change your choice at any time in Cookie Settings, linked in the footer of every page. If you withdraw consent, the related scripts stop and we ask the providers to stop using the data for us; cookies already set can be deleted in your browser.

Privacy signals: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal and you have not made a choice yet, we treat it as declining all optional categories.

Your choice is stored for 12 months, after which we ask again.

1. Strictly necessary

These are needed for the website to work or to provide a service you ask for, so they do not require consent (Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive). You can block them in your browser, but parts of the shop, such as the bag or checkout, will stop working.

We also keep two short-lived values in session storage (deleted when you close the tab): the campaign parameters from the link that brought you to our site (for example utm_source), so we can see which campaigns lead to orders, and a queue that retries sending events after a network error. These are only passed on to an advertising partner if you have consented to that partner.

PostHog

Provider: PostHog Inc., data stored in the EU (eu.i.posthog.com)

With your consent, PostHog stores a pseudonymous identifier in a cookie and local storage (ph_<project-key>_posthog, 12 months) to recognise returning visits. It records page views, clicks, page exits and technical errors, and records a sample of sessions (screen changes, mouse movements and clicks) to help us find usability problems. Text you type into forms is masked in recordings.

Without your consent, PostHog runs in cookieless mode: nothing is stored on your device, and visits are counted on PostHog's servers using a hash of your IP address, browser and a salt that changes daily. The IP address is not stored, and visits cannot be linked across days. No session recordings are made. We rely on our legitimate interest in basic, privacy-friendly visit statistics for this mode (see the Privacy Policy).

Google Analytics 4

Provider: Google Ireland Ltd.

NamePurposeDuration
_gaDistinguish visitors2 years
_ga_<ID>Keep the state of the current session2 years

Provider: Google Ireland Ltd.

Google Ads measures whether people who clicked our ads go on to buy, and lets Google show our ads to people who visited our site.

NamePurposeDuration
_gcl_auLink ad clicks to purchases90 days

Google may also set cookies on its own domains (such as google.com) under its own policy.

How Google Consent Mode works on our site: before the Google tag loads, we tell Google that all purposes are denied. Analytics and Google Ads are then switched on separately according to your choice. If you allow only one of them, the Google tag loads for that purpose; for the purpose you declined, Google stores no cookies and receives only cookieless signals (for example that a page was viewed), which Google uses to model aggregate statistics.

You can also manage Google's advertising settings at Google My Ad Center.

Provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.

NamePurposeDuration
_fbpIdentify the browser for ad measurement90 days
_fbcStore the click identifier when you arrive from a Meta ad90 days

Conversions API: in addition to the browser Pixel, we send some events, including purchases, directly from our servers to Meta. For purchases this includes the order value, the products and a hashed form of your email address, phone number, name, city, postcode and country; for other events it includes your IP address and browser type. This only happens if you have consented to Meta; your choice is recorded at checkout and applied to these server-side events too.

Meta may use this data to show you our ads on Facebook and Instagram and to improve its ad delivery. See Meta's Privacy Policy.

Provider: Pinterest Europe Ltd.

NamePurposeDuration
_pin_unauthIdentify the browser for ad measurement12 months
_epikStore the click identifier from Pinterest ads12 months

As with Meta, purchase events may be sent from our servers to Pinterest, including the order value, the products and hashed contact details, but only if you have consented to Pinterest. See Pinterest's Privacy Policy.

Other technologies that do not use cookies

  • Error monitoring (Sentry): reports technical errors without names, cookies or form contents. It stores nothing on your device.
  • Virtual try-on: camera images are processed only in your browser and never leave your device. See the Privacy Policy.
  • Content delivery: images and some scripts load from Cloudflare, Google (ajax.googleapis.com, storage.googleapis.com) and jsDelivr. These providers receive your IP address as part of any download, but they set no cookies through our site.

Managing cookies in your browser

Besides Cookie Settings, you can view, block or delete cookies in your browser:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Delete browsing data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Cookies and site data

If you delete all cookies, the banner will appear again on your next visit.

International transfers

Google, Meta, Pinterest and Sentry may process data in the United States. These transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when we add, remove or change a technology. If a change requires new consent, the cookie banner will ask you again.
