IRIS

Named after the divine messenger of the heavens and the personification of the rainbow, IRIS acts as a structural link between the observer and the visible spectrum. It is a study in transparency, where the ancient symbolism of the bridge between realms is translated into a modern optical tool.

Preserved as a marble torso from the Parthenon's west pediment, the figure of Iris captures the sheer velocity of a descending goddess. The ancient sculptor mastered the illusion of wind against the body, carving drapery that clings and flutters with restless energy. Even without her original bronze wings, the figure retains an undeniable, airborne momentum.
